Troop 119 B has long been in existence but in 2019 Troop 119 G was formed and chartered.
With Family Scouting the BSA established a priority to bring the benefits of Scouting to more youth while remaining true to their mission to "... prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law." We are happy to be offering the iconic BSA programs (and resources) to boys and girls.
Troop 119 B and Troop 119 G are Linked Troops:
Both Troops share the same Chartered Organization and Troop Committee
Each Troop has a designated Scoutmaster however many of the Assistance Scoutmasters and leaders serve both troops.
Both Troops meet Thursday nights at St James Church at 7:30pm indoors and outdoors.
Both Troops share camping equipment and supplies.
Both Troops event schedules and trips are aligned - where accommodations permit.
Recruitment:
Our doors are always open. Both units are actively taking on new scouts. Youth are more than welcome to check us out to see if we are a good fit.
As a relatively new Girl Troop we are actively looking to grow and provide the BSA program to girls in the area.
Please reach out to us for more information on where our program is going!
